Trouble finding Sand Dollars? Steep and shelly beaches break sand dollars apart. Search a flat sandy shoal as the tide recedes and look for the signature star pattern starting to emerge as the outgoing tide gently uncovers today's find.

Kice Island south of Marco Island is one of the best spots, and it's only accessible by boat. And remember to keep your sand dollars separate from the rest of your shells to avoid breaking them in transit.
