You should always focus on finding a reputable mover Failing to do so could result in scams, loss of money, damage of property and other unfortunate situations. To find out if the moving company you hired is legit, here are our top 3 suggestions:

1) Do they have an on-line presence?
Do your homework. If you can’t find any mention of their company online, such as their address or customer reviews, then they may not be legit 🛑🛑 Consider sources such as Facebook and the Better Business Bureau in your search. The same applies on the day of your move. A truck arriving with no logos or the crew not in uniform should be a big red flag🚩🚩, unless they have proven otherwise.

2) Request a free estimate.
Request a written estimate. If the company is unwilling to provide one, then consider moving with a company who will - like us!

3) Does the moving company have a U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) number?
Licensed movers are required by law to carry a certain amount of insurance which varies depending on the state. That information is reported to the DOT. To find out if the mover you hired has an "ACTIVE" status with the DOT, visit their website @ https://safer.fmcsa.dot.gov/CompanySnapshot.aspx

HOW TO PREPARE FOR MOVING DAY‼️

1) Make sure the movers can access all rooms at all times.

2) Take down pictures and wrap them.

3) Label rooms and items. Customers who do this, avoid having to stand at the door and direct the movers where to put things. Feel free to use sticky notes, tape, strings, etc.

4) Items that had difficulty fitting into a room or other space, prepare that item if you can. Taking legs off of big couches, popping a door off (takes 1 min to do that), unscrew the ceiling light, pop off a piece of a desk, etc. If it got in, we will get it out, but trouble items can eat up the time.

5) Clear all table and counter tops.

6) Make sure pets are put away.

7) Unhook all electronics and unmount TVs. Just another time saver
