Not necessarily. And that's one of the biggest takeaways from my first expedition cruise.
If you love wildlife, exploring new places, learning about the world around you and getting a little outside your comfort zone, this experience might be exactly what you're looking for.
But it's important to understand that this isn't a traditional cruise vacation.
The days are active, the schedule revolves around nature and conditions, and the highlights aren't Broadway-style shows or elaborate pool decks.
They're snorkeling with sea lions, exploring volcanic landscapes, watching penguins from a Zodiac and learning from people who are passionate about protecting these remarkable islands.
What surprised me most? How easy Lindblad Expeditions made it to experience so much.I came home with incredible memories, a much better understanding of expedition cruising and a new appreciation for this style of travel.
