New project. A house boat that suffered water leak damage.
Replace rotted stringers with added sistered stringers, plywood skin, drywall mud. Ready for primer.

Progress timeline on a wood powerboat cockpit restoration. Stringers sistered with new oak beams, marine plywood deck refastened, and fiberglass work and hatches, started.

Next the fiberglass resin gets mixed and silica fibers added to the mix. This to fill any gaps, screw holes and repair old fiberglass damage or where old meets new.

After the gap fill, same mix, no silica, and we paint on at least two more coats.

All done! Center cockpit sloop all wood stripped, and refinished. 5 coats. Another happy client, Marina Del Rey.
