Today there was an accident on STH 73. A corrections officer stopped to render aid to one of the victims of the accident. This man did not have to stop, but he did. He also was doing CPR on the patient when the first ambulance arrived. The crew tried to relieve him and he wanted to continue. He was doing great CPR. Unfortunately the outcome was not what everyone hopes for, but the effort was there. This man was a hero for his efforts and we thank him for his efforts.

The Southern Green Lake County Ambulance is hiring.
We will be adding a second Full Time position at the EMT Basic level. This FT position will be on a 24/72 schedule. Eligible candidates will have at minimum have an EMT-B state of Wisconsin license. Able to pass a back ground check and have a clean driving record. State retirement benefits, health insurance, and 40 hours of vacation per year. Pay will be $19.00 - $19.75 per hour. What a great opportunity for SGLC Ambulance and Berlin EMS to have such high level Pediatric training. The Orion Initiative has made all of this possible. Nothing is more stressful for an ambulance crew than sick Pediatric patients. This training is helping to take the edge off of that feeling.
