Thank you for your continued trust in Southwest Coaches. We look forward to continuing to serve our community with the same team and commitment to be safe and dependable transportation.
This transition will not affect the service our schools and customers receive. Our service center will remain in Marshall, and there will be no interruption to service or changes to existing routes.

We have acquired two family-owned school bus and motorcoach operators, Southwest Coaches Inc and Minnesota Motor Bus, expanding our network of transportation providers across the Upper Midwest.

Southwest Coaches has served the Marshall, Minnesota community for more than 70 years, while Minnesota Motor Bus has provided transportation in Fairmont for decades. Both companies will continue operating under their existing brand names, with local drivers, mechanics and staff remaining in place.

The acquisition builds on our commitment to investing in established transportation providers while preserving the local relationships and dependable service communities rely on. We’re honored to help owners like the Hey brothers find their path to retirement while safeguarding their legacy and supporting their teams.

For students, families and school districts, there will be no interruption to service or changes to routes.

Marshall Tiger Families! The time is here! Today is the bus form deadline for any last minute bus changes to start for sure on the first day of school. From here on out, we are hard at work processing bus forms. They will be processed as quickly as they can. If you have any questions, you are always welcome to contact us!

Marshall Tigers! Time is almost up! If you have not already, make sure to get your bus forms in before friday!!! Any forms turned in after this date will not likely be processed until after school has started. We are busy and hard at work double checking routes and pick up times.

Heads Up Marshall Tigers! Time is running out! Bus forms are due NEXT FRIDAY! Remember that daycares and alternate drop off information does not carry over and needs to be filled out each year. If you need a bus form sent to you, comment below or message our page and we will reach right out!

We are beyond grateful for the guidance, support, and leadership the Hey family put into building our family here at Southwest Coaches. Through everything, the Hey family was always there and have left a huge legacy we will be honored to carry on.

Thank you to the Hey Family for your many years of service and transportation to Marshall Public Schools. Southwest Coaches has provided millions of rides to students over the years whether it be getting them to school in the morning, getting them home in the afternoon, or getting to activities on nights and weekends. Most of the community may not notice, but Jim and Tom have spent many early mornings and late nights on icy roads checking conditions and worrying about late night busses returning safely. Thank you for your countless hours to providing safety to our students.

We wish you well in your transition into retirement!
