Driver Focus: ELD tampering & falsification
·Unassigned driving time that doesn’t get cleaned up
·Edits that don’t make sense
· “Ghost driving” behavior (movement that doesn’t match the driver record)
·Anything that looks like manipulation, tampering, or falsification
·ELD data transfer failures (you need to be able to produce/transfer logs)
Vehicle Focus: Cargo securement
·Worn, cut, or frayed straps
·Damaged chains/binders
·Loose dunnage (boards, tools, equipment) that can move
·Load shift risk (flatbeds and vans)
Be sure to do a real pre-trip: brakes, lights, tires, air leaks, ABS indicators.
Organize your cab paperwork so you can produce what you need fast. We provide you with a permit book for this reason.
Be sure your tablet is charged.
Keep your dashboard clean and clear of any clutter.
Be sure you have your tablet mounted in a fixed position, if you do not, contact Kim or Brie and we'll help get you a mount.
