Colonial Air Tours & Semper Flight Aviation
What a week and we are just getting started!
Tours stacked up, the phones stayed busy, and the ramp never really cooled off. We flew numerous Colonial Air Tours over the Historic Triangle and the York River, plus a *lot* of lessons and discovery flights that put first-time students and future pilots in the left seat. That is the best part of this job: introducing the next generation of aviators to the sky and watching the grin hit when the wheels leave the ground.
We even logged a little unofficial “babysitting” so a mom could take a well-earned break… at 2,000 feet. Fair trade. She got the view. We got to hang with the next generation on the ground. Everybody won.
None of that happens without this staff. Instructors, tour pilots, and the people who keep the schedule, the airplanes, and the coffee moving — you showed up all week and made it look easy. We are blessed to do this work, and even more blessed to do it with this team.
And if you have driven by lately, you have seen it: our hangar is steadily rising. Steel in the air, progress on the ground, and a whole lot of excitement about what that space is going to mean for tours, training, and the next chapter here at the field.
Fall is already in motion. Colonial Air Tours is rolling out new fall tours, so if you have been waiting for cooler air and better light over Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown, now is the time.
Over at Semper Flight Aviation we are gearing up for the start of our Young Aviators Program and the West Point Crab Carnival. We are also working on something HUGE that we will announce in the near future. No hints. Stay close.
Come fly with us.
