Buckeye Southeast Transit had the privilege of transporting excited citizens for the ribbon cutting ceremony at the new Appalachian Hills Visitors Center. We also did driving tours around the camp grounds and cabin area. It’s a must see, so beautiful!!

The new Appalachian Hills Wildlife Area Visitor Center is opening!🌿

Join us on April 24 at 10 a.m. at the new Appalachian Hills Visitor Center, 110 Natural Resources Road 1, McConnelsville, to celebrate this exciting addition to Morgan County.

Explore the beautiful new visitor center, featuring educational exhibits, stunning views, and a must-see bison viewing deck overlooking the Appalachian Hills herd.

Visitors will also find:
• 10 newly constructed cabins inspired by the architectural style of Frank Lloyd Wright.
• The Big Muskie Campground with 50 full hook-up RV sites
• A new modern shower house
• A family-friendly playground
• An on-site camp store with camping and hunting essentials
• Infrastructure upgrades, including a regional waterline and wastewater treatment plant

Come see how this once-mined landscape has been transformed into one of Ohio’s most unique places to explore.

The Village will be closing N. Kennebec Street from Jefferson Avenue to Liberty Street on Monday April 20th from 7:30am-5:00pm. Motorist are asked to utilize alternate routes around the closure.
