Okay...
So a quick recap of the last couple days.
Thursday/Friday nights I spent at the Belle Grove Plantation (birthplace of James Madison) in King George, VA. Huge, beautiful room. Did an actual ghost hunt -- super fun, LOTS of activity.
Yesterday I rode to Absecon NJ, and spent last night at the Jonathan Pitney House (built in 1799). No 'bumps in the night' here -- except for a handful of young partiers who stumbled in around 2am.
Today: riding to somewhere in Connecticut -- then off to Plymouth MA tomorrow -- after which I start for HOME! 😄
Pics below are from the last couple days -- including from my stop at the oldest operating tavern in Virginia, George Washington's childhood home, the trolley tour I took of Fredericksburg VA, and a humongous bridge in New Jersey -- some I've probably already posted.

1st surprise: I'm in Maryland. 😃
2nd surprise: I got to ride through the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel -- which runs UNDER the Patapsco River. 😃

2nd (& final) night at the Belle Grove Plantation in Virginia (birthplace of James Madison. SO much I love about this place -- the BEAUTIFUL B&B, the historic location and especially the ghost hunt done here last night.

So DAY 6!!
For the first day of this trip, I didn't have to pull out the rain gear (or spend 45 minutes blow-drying my boots).
In Fayetteville NC tonight. Have around a 6 hour ride to tomorrow's destination in Virginia.
