Let’s talk about the white “frosting” or blooming you may occasionally see on the outside of an adhesive bottle.
This can happen when cyanoacrylate vapors come into contact with moisture in the environment, creating a white or frosted residue around the nozzle, cap, or bottle.
While it may look concerning, exterior blooming does not automatically mean the adhesive inside is defective or compromised. What matters most is how the adhesive is dispensing, its consistency, and whether it is curing properly.
That said, we know presentation matters too! We don’t want you opening a new EvLo adhesive and questioning its quality.
We already vacuum seal our adhesives to help limit exposure to air and moisture during storage and shipping, and we’ve been working directly with our manufacturer on additional improvements.
✨ Our new adhesive batches will now be packaged in electroplated bottles.
This upgraded bottle finish provides an additional protective barrier and is intended to help reduce environmental interaction with the packaging and minimize exterior blooming.
We’re also continuing to evaluate the nozzle, cap, seal, and overall packaging system.
Product development doesn’t stop when something hits the shelf. If we see an area we can improve, we work to improve it.
If your adhesive ever seems abnormal in consistency, dispensing, or curing, please reach out to us so we can help.
