My family and I stayed at Old Key West resort at Disney World for the first time last week. I loved how large the 1 bedroom villa was and the pools were super nice! It is a large resort so you do take a bus to get around, but they come very frequently. If you want a kitchen and laundry, this is a great option!

New from Disney!

Late 2027 and early 2028 itineraries are now available to view for Disney Cruise Line. These can be booked starting Aug 31 for select Castaway Club members!

Disneyland package prices are out for 2027 as well!

There are some really fun announcements coming out of D23, including this one showing the stern characters and lobby statue on the Disney Believe coming next year!

When you stay at a Walt Disney World resort, transportation to the parks is included and runs all day long! There are buses, boats, the monorail or the Skyliner depending on which resort you stay at.

Which is your favorite? The Skyliner is mine!

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Parties start tonight at Magic Kingdom! 👻

Even if you don’t have tickets, there will be Halloween decorations around the parks until Halloween!

If you are planning a Universal Orlando trip, you want to get park to park tickets. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is in all 3 parks and the Hogwarts Express runs between Islands of Adventure and a universal Studios Florida. Only people with park to park tickets can ride the train!

Disney Cruise Line has two properties in the Bahamas and if you sail out of Florida, you will probably visit at least one of them! Castaway Cay is Disney’s private island and it has lots of activities and a short walk from the ship. Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point is part of the island of Eleuthera and has the better beach and splash pad. The walk from the ship can be a little daunting though.

In just about a month, the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland will transform! The ride gets taken over by Jack Skellington and the characters from A Nightmare Before Christmas for the Halloween and Christmas season.

I am a big fan of this overlay and I think it makes the whole ride more fun!

I always schedule a character meal on our Disney trips. My kids enjoy interacting with characters, but don’t necessarily want to wait in a line at the parks. This gets us out the heat for a bit and it always feels magical!
