BUSINESS MEETING | 5/6/26 🚨

Come join us this coming Wednesday, May 6th at the Quonset Hut for our monthly business meeting to help us plan for our upcoming events, and to suggest ideas within our chapter! We have several topics to discuss as we prepare for the Young Eagles rally, Sunset Festival BBQ, and much more! Additionally, bratwursts will be cooked by one of our chapter members, Jody “Iceman” Weiner!

A new 2026 survey by TBX reveals that while rising costs and supply chain disruptions are major challenges, the resilience of the community is undeniable. Despite the pressure, 92% of mechanics report feeling proud of their profession.

Here are a few key takeaways from the report:
- Shop Rates: Average rates range from $103/hour for solo shops to $150/hour for larger operations.
- Regional Differences: The West sees the highest average rates ($129.20), while the Midwest remains the most affordable ($104.34).
- The Biggest Hurdle: Finding and retaining skilled technicians is the #1 constraint on industry growth.
