I did some work for a gentleman that had just purchased a new Yamaha side-by-side. He wanted a soft top so that when himself and his wife were out enjoying the trails, they didn't have to worry about the weather. Sun's out, let the good time's roll with the open roof. But for the rain, this was the perfect accessory! After going over the parameters of the customer's specifications, I drew up plans and set to work. His two desires? Absolutely no flapping at any speed, and he wanted the front to come down over the windscreen. It was much harder than I had anticipated. The amount of times I had to put this cover on the machine, mark it, and take it off to make adjustments is beyond comprehension. Literally yards and yards of velcro wrapping around the roll-cage. Overall, the project took 4 days. I am my own strongest critic and was nervous about the waves in the material. I thought for sure the customer was going to be displeased with the end product. But much to my relief, the customer was completely ecstatic! He loved every inch of it and thanked me many times for the great work and the effort that was put into his new toy. I learned a lot from this project--these toys are more fun to play with than they are to work on!!

I had an interesting project a few months ago. A pair of elderly gentlemen were in the process of restoring an old pioneer wagon. They had restored everything but the canvas as they were not sure how to do it. Admittedly, neither did I. After many trips to the wagon and back to the shop, this was the final result. Anchored around the bottom by small grommets and a drawstring around the doors to give it an authentic look, the gentleman were more than pleased with how it turned out! This project is publicly displayed in Mercer, WI, also called the loon capital and a great place for recreational activities. They also have a museum with many old items on display and stories for every item. It truly was a fantastic project, but the experience and history of the museum and it's curators will stay with me forever.

I've only ever heard about them, but I had the pleasure of making a custom cover for an amphibious 6 wheeler! An elderly gentleman brought in the machine on a trailer and said that's how he wanted to keep it stored through the winter. Being located in the U.P., snow was definitely a huge obstacle. He brought in an old pontoon lift dock cover made of vinyl and asked me if I could do something with it to help save him some money. Although there was disapproval from fellow coworkers and hesitation from my boss's boss about the project, I assured them all that I had something in mind. The hardest part was trying to cover this thing by myself. The vinyl was already fairly heavy and bulky, and the trailer was unstable. The custom made roll bar that the customer had installed added another 3 feet to the overall height. With some persistence and help from my boss, we were able to save this man hundreds of dollars! I installed grommets around the bottom for a drawstring and the look on the customer's face was amazing. I love working with my hands and being able to think creatively, but the look the customer gives me when they see the finished project and ask me how I did it is an unforgettable experience.

A gentleman came in asking if I knew how to make kayak covers. I had never made one before, but I am always willing to learn new things and test my creativity. As it turns out, this man had 2 handmade kayaks that he had worked on all winter to make for himself and his wife. One was 18' and the other was 21'. After picking out material, color, and specifics such as carrying handle cut-outs and a metal tension pole to keep water from pooling, I got to work. The covers were surprisingly easy to make once I got down to it. With a tapered front and a flat rear, the covers fit perfectly and the customer was more than happy with them. I even added in additional straps underneath so he could keep them tightly covered while traveling! Another happy customer and an exciting learning experience.

So we also make custom kayak covers! Spring is just around the corner so get those kayaks out and bring them over for a custom made cover.

My very first softtop/wrap around done on a hotrod. Fiberglass body and metal framework supporting the customer's handmade hardtop. Turnbuckles to keep the bottom edges in place, a centered diamond shaped rear window made of clear vinyl. This project was by far one of the most challenging items I have ever had the opportunity of making. It started with a rough clamp job of fabric to the hardtop frame. Careful outlining, cutting, and shaping of the outer edges made this one of the most rewarding experiences I have so far. Drilling into the body of a car like this was nerve wrecking. Over 14 hours of labor went into creating this masterpiece. The customer was beyond thrilled and has been featured in multiple parades and has won various trophies for his smooth ride. He later decided to have a fabric top fitted to the hardtop surface to give it a more "finished" appearance.

As some of you may know, I previously worked for a fabric company as a canvas laborer. My learning experience included making and repairing different kinds of covers, tarps, awnings, tents, and everything in between. I have since moved from the U.P. and I have taken my knowledge, willingness to learn, creativity, extremely unique perspective, and customer service with me to build a dream from the ground up. I have access to all kinds of materials as well as colors, but would like to try to stay away from automobile covers as I do not currently have the needed expertise to undergo projects of that size and shape. I am always willing to learn new things and try to come up with new and improved methods of getting things done promptly and correctly. I can and will make anything and everything better than can be bought in store. And although the prices are higher than would be in a store, the quality is untouchable and the service provided to customers is exquisite and always improving. I appreciate each and every family member, friend, and friend of a friend that can like, share, and follow my page. Word of mouth is the pathway to success these days. If you hear of anybody needing any kind of covers made or repaired, please keep me in mind! Pictures of previous projects will be posted in a few days. Thank you all for your time, and if anyone has any questions, JUST ASK!
