Logistics Coordinator
Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin
Green Hills is seeking a driven, organized, and solutions-focused Logistics Coordinator to lead and oversee our growing transportation and logistics operations. This role is responsible for dispatching and coordinating CDL drivers, managing fleet efficiency, supporting customer relationships, and leading our transportation team with a strong focus on safety, communication, and operational excellence.
This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple moving pieces at once, and takes pride in building efficient systems and strong teams.
About Green Hills:
Green Hills is a growing company specializing in landscape supply, trucking, construction support, and material transportation throughout the region. We operate a diverse fleet including semis, end dumps, tankers, flatbeds, and local quad axle trucks while supporting both external customers and internal company operations.
*Key Responsibilities*
Logistics & Dispatch Operations:
* Coordinate and dispatch CDL drivers for regional and local operations
* Manage scheduling and routing for semis, end dumps, tankers, flatbeds, and quad axle trucks
* Monitor driver locations, load progress, schedules, and delivery timelines
* Coordinate with the Green Hills Supply team to meet transportation and inventory movement needs
* Optimize truck utilization, routing efficiency, and fuel usage
* Provide proactive communication regarding delivery status, ETAs, and delays
* Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, load details, fleet utilization, and trip documentation
* Review driver trip sheets and ensure loads are closed out accurately and on time
Customer & Team Coordination:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers
* Assist with onboarding and coordinating transportation needs for new customers
* Deliver a high level of customer service through timely and professional communication
* Work closely with operations, supply yard, and field teams to ensure smooth daily ex*****on
* Lead, manage, and support CDL drivers through coaching, accountability, and performance feedback
* Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management initiatives
Compliance & Safety:
* Ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSA, OSHA, ELD, and all applicable transportation regulations
* Support driver qualification files, inspections, telematics, and camera programs
* Reinforce company safety standards and maintain strong audit readiness
* Partner with safety and operations leadership to maintain a safe and compliant fleet
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in logistics, trucking dispatch, transportation management, or fleet operations required
* Strong understanding of DOT/FMCSA regulations, HOS rules, ELD compliance, and driver qualification requirements
* Experience managing CDL drivers and transportation schedules preferred
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to multitask and handle urgent situations effectively
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google systems, and computer-based dispatch/data entry systems
* Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently and with a team
* Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required

This position is primarily in-office Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with occasional after-hours communication and driver support as needed to support ongoing trucking operations.
