⚓ A port-heavy cruise can completely change how much you’ll actually use a drink package.

Picture this: your ship docks at 7 or 8 AM. You grab breakfast, head ashore, spend the entire day exploring, and don’t get back onboard until late afternoon.

That could be 8–10 hours of your day spent OFF the ship — where your cruise line drink package isn’t buying your drinks. 🍹

Now multiply that by several port days.

That doesn’t automatically mean you should skip the package. You might still get plenty of value from morning coffee, bottled water, drinks with dinner and cocktails in the evening.

But when I’m deciding whether a drink package makes sense, I wouldn’t just ask “How many drinks will I have?”

I’d also ask:

“How many hours will I actually be onboard to use it?” 👀
