POKER RUN 24

November 16th is celebrating 24 years in the Merrill community bringing the opportunity to win a $750.00 grand prize sponsored by 15 local Merrill businesses.
Can you believe it! The Poker Run has reached 24 years bringing the Merrill community unique and fresh Christmas ideas for the coming season. This year fifteen Merrill Businesses will bring the Poker Run to the community with over $1700.00 in prizes of gift certificates that can be used at any of the participating sponsors. There is a grand prize of $750.00, a 1st prize of $180.00, a 2nd prize of $150, a 3rd prize of $120.00, two prizes offered for the worst poker hand and a drawing for all Poker Run game cards turned in. The prize is an overnight stay at Chula Vista (worth over $500.00). This is good for up to 4 people, 4 waterpark passes, and a $25.00 food coupon.
The 15 Sponsoring Downtown Businesses are: Westside Market, Miller Home Furnishings, Bally Hoo’s, Victorias Floral, Merrill Historical Society, Auntie Ray’s, Polka Dotted Pie, Hargrave Appliance Center, Merrill Ace Hardware, The Humble (Ye Old Sweet Shop), VIP Office Products, Courtside Furniture, Inspiring Creativity, Merrill Sheet Metal, and Geiss Meat Service working together creating fun events for our community.
How does the Poker Run work? Go to any of the 15 participating businesses and pick up a game card the day of the Poker Run. Proceed to each business and receive a stamp (no purchase necessary). At 12:00 P.M. or later, turn in your game card to Courtside Furniture only (must have a minimum of 5 stamps from 5 businesses to be in the drawing). Get dealt a hand (based on the amount of stamps you have collected; e.g. 5 stamps equal 5 cards and 15 stamps equal 15 cards). The dealer will help you receive the best poker hand possible with the possibility of getting a Royal Flush.
Each business has Poker Run Specials displaying Christmas items, in-store specials and tasty treats. Geiss Meat Service will be offering in-store specials. Merril Historical Society has a Merrill Author book signing and tours. Courtside Furniture will be featuring local art from Peter Tesch. Breakfast & lunch specials will be offered by Auntie Ray’s, Bally Hoos, & Polka Dotted Pie
