ht rail / modern streetcar project. The Connect Miami Beach (CMB) Team has joined forces to invest in and accomplish your vision. Composed of industry leaders OHL, Globalvia, COMSA, Community Asphalt, Atkins, CAF, SENER, Railworks and L.K. Comstock, our team has the local design and construction expertise and relationships, proven technology and experience on similar streetcar projects in the United States and worldwide, and commitment to collaboration needed to deliver this project quickly and efficiently. Many of our staff live and work in the local community —we want the streetcar to be a success as much as you do. We believe in the City of Miami Beach´s mission, and we want to work with the City´s residents and public officials to make it happen. Building a project of this magnitude requires intimate knowledge of the local utility companies, neighborhood groups, traffic patterns, design standards, building codes, and other elements. Our lead designer, Atkins, has 56 years of experience and 200 staff in the south Florida region. Our lead contractor, Community Asphalt, has been a Florida contractor for over 38 years and has built hundreds of projects in Miami Dade County. Both firms will participate in the design and construction and have established relationships with key local stakeholders to facilitate an expedited schedule. We understand Miami Beach’s distinctive qualities and unique needs, and we will leverage this knowledge to construct a streetcar that fits the community. When building such a complex P3 project, you rightfully want to know that the result meets your expectations. Globalvia, OHL Infrastructure and COMSA Concesiones have collectively delivered 16 P3 rail projects, all of which are in revenue operations. COMSA SAU has built 17 LRT projects worldwide. OHL Community Asphalt recently completed construction of the Miami AirportLink at the Miami Intermodal Center. OHL Infrastructure and COMSA Concesiones provide maintenance of over 150 LRT/streetcar vehicles with different manufacturers, both in-house and by subcontract. Additionally, our exclusive rolling stock provider, CAF, has delivered 679 vehicles in 38 cities worldwide, of which 379 are CAF URBOS vehicles like the ones proposed for the Miami Beach LRT/Streetcar. CAF also have the longest-in-operation on-board storage wireless technology—perfect for flood zones and tropical environments. And, most importantly, members of our team have already carried over 780 million passengers on their LRT/streetcar projects globally, of which 110 million have used CAF’s fully wireless vehicles. We are proud to say that in the next few years we will exceed the 1 billion passengers threshold -with over 200 million riding CAF´s fully wireless vehicles. Collaborative. Members of our team have collaborated on 47 projects, including 6 transit design-build-finance-operate-maintain (DBFOM) P3 projects similar th the Miami Beach LRT/Streetcar. Our team embodies an integrated and collaborative approach—team firms OHL, Globalvia and COMSA will be intrinsically involved in all project functions ensuring we interact effectively throughout the project life cycle and throughout the team. The team also continues to foster working relationships with City public officials and staff and local stakeholders, and demonstrates through our past performance the value we place on community collaboration.
