We say goodbye to València and hello to Barcelona. My mom asked me what my favorites were. I don’t know. I love it all. Especially the biking riding everywhere.

We got our hair done!
Our language practice didn’t assist us on this routine task.
My hair is absolutely fantastic. Reaching heights not seen since the seventh grade. I will have a smile until the next washing and internally laugh for awhile.

Oli is coiffed and manicured. Antonio gave precise directions to Oliver, with blow dryer in hand, styling gel, and comb, raising his voice to confirm he had to be heard. Clearly we have been doing it wrong for awhile. We know it.

Smiling and speaking with our eyes, an often way my darling and I communicate, we soaked up the information, nodding, but knowing this would only be repeated if we had the pleasure of visiting here again.

Everyday is market day in Valencia. We looked up Mar-Azul tomatoes after eating them in a homemade sandwich with carrots, onions, olives and manchego.

“Mar Azul tomatoes are high in anthocyanins, natural plant pigments that have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, and antimicrobial properties.”

They taste good.
Sort of the same. Like our garden tomatoes.

Mom travels with uno cards. We often end the night with a drink before bed. Tonight I got a Fanta instead of juice. Instant party!
When we go to a new place with a new language she teaches me numbers and colors while playing cards. It’s a cool way to start learning.

Hey everyone, we are back at it! Wing’s up to València, Spain.

We stumbled upon an amazing park, Jardín del Turia. A former river bed that runs through the city. We biked about twenty miles and didn’t see it all. The youngest to the most wrinkled are found biking, walking, and playing in micro parks within the park. Table tennis, soccer (of course —we are in Spain!), basketball, cards, chess, all being enjoyed. 🧡Oli & mom
