The U.S. Department of State
advises citizens in these areas to:
1. Seek shelter immediately in residences or hotels and minimize all unnecessary movement.
2. Avoid crowds and areas near ongoing law enforcement or military activity.
3 Monitor local media for real-time updates on safety corridors and airport status.
Affected Areas:
The shelter-in-place order covers the following states and major cities:
Jalisco: Specifically including Puerto Vallarta, Guadalajara, and Chapala.
Tamaulipas:
Including Reynosa and surrounding municipalities.
Other States:
Portions of Michoacán, Guerrero, Nuevo León, Baja California (Tijuana, Tecate, Ensenada), and Quintana Roo (Cancún, Playa del Carmen).
