Bummed that they’re making this change. I know many guests, myself included, were thrilled when Hagrid’s was added to Express Pass last summer. It made such a difference for being able to experience one of Universal’s best attractions without the massive wait times. 🥴

Starting July 1, 2026, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure will no longer be included with Universal Express at Universal Orlando.

• Single Rider line will still be available (subject to operations)
• Early Park Admission access will continue for eligible guests

Definitely something to keep in mind when planning your Universal vacation strategy going forward!

Goodbye Sao Miguel! Had an amazing two weeks in Spain & Portugal but looking forward to going home and seeing Pat and Patrick!

The fog lifted today so we could actually see some of this beautiful island and the lush green hillsides. Explored the east side of the island with stops in Vila Franca do Campo, Terra Nostra Park, Furnas, and the tea plantation. Terra Nostra Park was beautiful with its huge trees, botanical gardens, and its famous geothermal pool. We watched them pull our traditional cozido lunch out from the geothermal springs before heading to Tony’s for lunch. The hot springs and geothermal pools are heated by the volcano and the water gets its yellow/orange color from all the iron and minerals in it (so no, we weren’t swimming in dirty water). Such a unique and beautiful place!

Visited a pineapple plantation and then headed to Sete Cidades… and in true Fitzgerald fashion, we could see absolutely nothing. 🤦‍♀️ The fog was so heavy you couldn’t see two feet in front of you. Just another reason to come back someday with Pat since this was one place he really wanted to see!

Arrived in São Miguel, Azores this morning and despite the gray skies, it was a great first day. We had a delicious meal (and chocolate cake!) at Louvre Michaelense and spent some time walking around and shopping. Looking forward to the tours we have planned the next two days and seeing the rest of the island!

Last stop on mainland Europe before heading to the Azores.

Experienced a traditional Fado dinner last night.
Today we had a tour of the city and visited the Queluz Palace and the Portuguese Riviera with stops in Cascais, and Cabo da Roca (the westernmost point of mainland Europe!) The views were amazing!

Started the day visiting the beautiful Plaza de Espana and discovered that scenes from Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones were filmed there and used as part of Naboo! 😃

Then we explored more of Seville with a walking tour, visited Casa de Pilatos, and toured the Seville Cathedral and Columbus tomb. Wrapped up the night with an authentic flamenco show 💃 which was the perfect ending for our day in Seville!

Sadly didn’t have time to visit the Real Alcazar… so I guess that means I have to come back 😅 Especially after finding out it was used as the Water Gardens of Dorne in Game of Thrones!

Traveled to Seville today but stopped in Cordoba first. Such an interesting city with so much history. It was once the largest and most advanced city in the world. It’s also known for the mix of Christian, Muslim, and Jewish cultures. We visited the famous Mosque–Cathedral of Cordoba, which started as a mosque in the 700s and later became a cathedral after the Christian Reconquest. Definitely glad we got to stop there!

We really enjoyed Barcelona but… I think Madrid wins for me as the more beautiful city. The parks, all the greenery, how clean everything is, and just the overall feel of the city. Did lots of walking today and visited the Prado Museum, Royal Palace of Madrid, caught more of the festival around Plaza Mayor, and did a little shopping along Gran Vía.
