ICYMI: The Wing Thing PPG event was in full swing this morning!

Weather permitting, they will launch in the mornings around 7:00am and in the evenings around 6:00pm. Spot landing contests are also planned, times TBD.

Public is welcome to watch the flights from our beautiful Aviation Discovery Area!

After consideration of the date being a weekday and during the County Fair, we have decided to cancel the National Aviation Day Celebration previously scheduled for August 19.

But don't fear - we have PLENTY of other events coming your way. This Sunday, August 5 is Airport Story Time at 3:00pm, we are working on some fun items for Neighboring Week (September 28 - October 3) and Prop & Treat in October! Plus, EAA Chapter 1093:'s Pancake Breakfast on September 12!

There are two more pilots gracing our field!

Caleb Perkins and Lydia Hodgson both recently achieved their private pilot's licenses; Caleb on July 4th and Lydia on July 12.

Both did their training through Slipstream Aviation and plan to become commercial pilots.

CONGRATULATIONS to both!

June, July & August's Story Times have been adjusted to allow us to participate in the Summer Concert Series in Sanford!

Find us under the kid's tent with crafts today, July 12 and August 9 from 3:00 - 6:00pm in Porte Park.

Happy Paper Airplane Day!!!

Come celebrate with us this evening from 5:30 - 7:00pm. Bring a plane from home or fold one here and let them fly! There will be age group awards for furthest distance - winners receive a trophy and $10 gift card to Aviator Cookie Company!

National Paper Airplane Day Celebration is one week from today and we are excited to announce that Chuck N Eddys and Kona Ice will be on hand to keep you fed and cool!

Due to the expected rain tomorrow we are going to move tomorrow's Home School STEM Day to NEXT Tuesday, May 19!

While moving the event indoors was considered, it would rob the kids of the opportunity to sit in an airplane and utilize other educational features of our Aviation Discovery Area such as the miniature runways and compass rose.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause - we want to be sure that we are able to provide the best event we can.
