High gas prices are not just impacting drivers this upcoming holiday weekend. Boaters are also feeling the pain at the pump.

⛽🇺🇸 The fuel dock will be open afternoons this week from 3p-7p. Saturday through Monday over the holiday weekend it will be open from 9am - 4pm. Next week we will be open afternoons from 3p-7p as well.

Milford Boat Works is seeking an experienced Sailboat Rigger to join our busy, professional yard on Long Island Sound. We service a wide range of quality sailboats and are looking for someone who takes pride in clean, precise work.

Compensation: $25-$40/hr. (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-time or part-time available
Location: Milford, CT (year-round work)

What You'll Do
• Standing and running rigging installation and service
• Mast stepping/unstepping support
• Rig tuning and inspections
• Hardware installation and troubleshooting
• Work alongside experienced marine technicians

What We're Looking For
• Rigging experience strongly preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Professional work habits and good attitude
• Ability to work safely around masts and lifts
• ABYC certification a plus (not required)

Spring is just around the corner (although you would never know it looking at the massive snow piles around the yard). The Ship's Store is now open Saturday mornings from 9a-12p. If you're coming down to work on your boat we normally tell you to bring a ladder; this year we also recommend to bring a shovel. 🪏
