Modernism 1960s’ Style
This prefab house, called a Futuro, was one of two in the state when photographer Joe Redden snapped this undated photo at Eagle Crest Aerodrome near Milton. Shown are its owner, Futuro distributor Joseph Hudson, right, and Karl Crist. The second Futuro landed in the Houston area after its move from Broadkill Beach. Finnish architect Matti Suuronen designed the fiberglass/polyurethane “UFO House” to represent 1960s’ modernism.
