The Wisconsin Electric Railway Historical Society, Inc. Dedicated to history of electric railways. Emphasis on Wisconsin systems. No politics. Our newsletter “Wisconsin Electric Lines” is published six times per year.

TWERHS was incorporated in 1967 as a non-profit, educational, historical society preserving electric railway history. Through the years we have accumulated a vast collection of books, photos, movies, map, and other documents related to electric railways. We have provided information for numerous books, magazine article, videos and other media. We have assisted in several projects involving electri

c railway equipment or buildings. It contains historical information, photos and current events. All activities are performed by our members who volunteer their time and various talents. We have several classes of membership. Complete details can be found on our website (trainweb.org/twerhs).
