Andy Mauk and his ace mechanic Keith have AGAIN been offered the chance to race on the Isle of Man, the Manx GP motorcycle race for 2018!!!!!! The Manx GP is the vintage bike version of the Isle of Man races happening every Summer. Because Keith and Andy have been so successful, campaigning Keith’s Honda 450 in the 500 class in AHRMA, Keith’s and Andy’s partnership is pretty incredible, having las
ted 10+ years. They are really good together, both on a race level, and on a personal level. It’s touching to see these two working together, competing…. Keith is amazingly dedicated to their team, taking care of that finicky, very faaast Honda 450 that he built himself. Andy is equally dedicated, keeping himself race ready for the long AHRMA season. In fact, Andy told me that he want to go do this race for Keith’s benefit…. Keith, a guy who has worked in motorcycle shops, on race motorcycles his entire life. Now, they’ve been invited again to represent the states on one of two U.S. teams for 2018. In fact, the race promoter is covering the cost of the shipping container for both teams. The tough part is, that in order to realize their dream of competing again, Andy and Keith have to pay their way to the island and need to cover the costs of the 2 week trip. That is where OUR team comes in. The team includes YOU!! We are looking to raise approximately $8,000 for these two to finish the unfinished business of completing the entire race, avoiding mishaps like the broken chain that did them in in 2016.
