Today, Bublr Bikes joined our public transportation partners to observe the beginning of a "Week Without Driving," an opportunity to highlight both the opportunities presented by multimodal transportation and the challenges that many in our community face when seeking to access reliable mobility options. We encourage everyone to try Bublr this week! With over 170 stations throughout our community featuring our popular, easy-to-use e-bikes, we offer a great alternative to vehicle commuting and an accessible "last-mile transit" option for bus commuters.

Thank you to the Milwaukee County Department of Transportation for organizing today's event and to fellow speakers Chairwoman Marcelia Nicholson, Milwaukee County Transit System President Steve Fuentes, MobiliSE Executive Director Dave Steele, City of Milwaukee Vision Zero Policy Director Jessica Wineberg, and Jedidiah Moss of the National Federation of the Blind for sharing a bold vision for a more accessible Milwaukee.

VIA CDC has invited Bublr, Milwaukee Department of Public Works, MilWALKee Walks, and the Wisconsin Bike Fed to co-host a walking and biking tour of the National Avenue Reconstruction Project. Join us on Monday, September 28th at 5:00 PM at 3524 W. National Ave.

We will meet at VIA CDC for 30 minutes for introductions and a project overview, then walk as a group to meet local business owners who will share their perspectives on the construction. An optional bike ride from 6:00-6:30 will allow you to test out the new bike infrastructure and explore some additional Silver City neighborhood details just north of National.

Milwaukee Department of Public Works will be present to share information about the project's design and construction.
