General Delivery Service, Inc. was founded on October 1, 1966 by a great man named John Buche.

Sadly, that man passed on January 22nd, 2021 at the age of 93 and was buried with full military honors.

"Buche" was someone you could not easily forget. He always had a smile and a conversation for everyone he met. His presence in our offices had lessened over the years, though he was never far from our minds and hearts.

He leaves behind an immense legacy of family and friends, including 19 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren, and his wife of 70yrs,

Thank you, Mr. Buche, for building the base for what we are today, and leaving us with so many fond memories.

Here at GDS, there are visions in place to update/upgrade our company now that we've reached our 50th year in business!
Most recently we have taken on the adventure of becoming paperless....endless stacks of files have now been uploaded to the magic cloud of information.
So exciting to take strides toward a new innovative future!

Major achievements.

For those of you aware, we started work on Momentum five years ago this month.

Today I am proud to share that this software system for our business is complete. Not finished, just complete.

Today we transitioned the last of our fleet onto MomentumConnect, the fleet unit segment of this entire system.

I and my firm are now independent of third party software and never again reliant upon their 'solutions'.

Momentum has been an exercise in PERSEVERANCE and ultimately benefits both our operations and our customers. Momentum is a passion.

I doubt very much any other company in this industry had deployed such innovative solutions and more to say; we evolved every concept, I personally coded every single bit (no outside code) and I've EVERY intention on utilizing these achievements in progressing this business further.
