Black People arent welcomed into bikeshops around the city. There's always a pushback from do you belong in a bikeshop. The role for Black People has been treated as less than and not shown any desire for business.

We are changing that.

Legendary.

We just won the Grant for the Northside Awesome Foundation for a Black Owned Bikeshop in North Minneapolis.

Right in Our Neighborhood for the Service of Our People.
This is a Black Owned bikeshop with me and Nate Shotley.
All around the country there are bikeshops owned by Black People that is not what the story is in the city of Minneapolis where it is called the Capital of Biking we are making Black production for biking on the Northside for a city that does not serve its Black cyclist.

This is the Black Powered Cycling. Owned by Us and For Us.

There is non profits owned by white people poverty pimping our communities and populations from Full Cycle in South Minneapolis to Cycles for Change in St Paul to Venture North Bike Walk & Coffee over North.
Well intentioned white people flooding meetings filling up spaces from Black people speaking on what we need and taking stages from Black People to represent our own communites.

Bikeshops across the wntire city filled and gridlocked by all white staff rebufging and giving disproportionate service to Black customers.

There is major city planning with rooms filled with white people elevating the city with biking infrastructure that never gets to the Northside.

Projects like the Northside Greenway that have old racist white people filling the space with malicous malice to stop infrastructure feom the city to be brought into the Northside and Black Communities while South Minneapolis and white communites immediate get renovation while the spaces for planning are filled with white people plastering bias and pessimism into the projects to prevent our neighborhoods from receiving the amenities like bike lanes that the Southside has.

All the for profit shops have hired no Black people and insists on having a community that has no respect nor doors open for Black people to ride with plan and participate in.

That is changing now.
No longer will the city that calls itself the capital of biking be allowed to continued to go forth parading an illusion that all black people come into shops and naturally feel welcomed.

We are Proud to announce we are the recipients of the Northside Awesome Foundation Grant and that we are opening a Black Owned Bikeshop for for us with the award.

This is the time of change that is not only giving us a Black Owned Bikeshop over North Minneapolis but a change to business as usual.

Thia is the first Black Owned Bikeshop over North and the change to the community and city here starts now.

Now you can come to a place that is Black Owned and where it looks feels and ride as Black as Ever.

BLACK POWER ✊
