Congratulations again to Nora for being the recipient of the MBAA's SDC2026 scholarship!
Here is her recap from the time spent at the show:
"Attending the NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference this year in Cleveland carried a very different meaning for me. I’ve been in this industry for over 20 years and have attended this event many times, but this was the first time I showed up fully on my own—representing my company, my values, and the standard I want to set moving forward. That shift in perspective made this, without question, the most impactful conference I’ve experienced.
I am incredibly grateful to the Minnesota Business Aviation Association for awarding me this scholarship. After spending time with their team and having meaningful conversations about my path and vision, being recognized in this way felt like the highest form of encouragement. It reinforced that stepping out on my own was not only the right decision—but one worth investing in.
This year, I approached the conference differently. Instead of simply attending, I listened more intentionally. I asked questions. I paid close attention to what’s working in our industry, what isn’t, and what people wish could change. I spent time speaking with seasoned professionals as well as those just entering aviation, and one theme stood out clearly—many newer individuals feel overlooked and underestimated. That’s something that should challenge all of us. Leadership in this industry shouldn’t just be about experience; it should be about responsibility—to teach, to guide, and to elevate the next generation.
My company is built on a simple but powerful foundation: hospitality, communication, and relationships come first. This business is about far more than transportation—it’s about delivering intentional, quiet luxury and creating experiences that feel seamless, personal, and meaningful. That philosophy resonated deeply in the conversations I had throughout the conference.
This conference didn’t just reaffirm why I love this industry—it gave me a renewed sense of purpose within it. Thank you again to the Minnesota Business Aviation Association for believing in me and supporting this next chapter. I’m committed to paying that forward."
