I just had the best girls weekend!

I just got back from Fredericksburg, TX for my cousin's bachelorette party. There was w**eries, karaoke, closing down the bar, and somehow staying up until 4am. 10/10 would do it again, even though my body is currently filing a complaint.

If Texas Hill Country isn't on your travel radar yet, it needs to be. Fredericksburg is basically Texas' answer to Napa — same gorgeous vineyards, more laid back, with a little country charm thrown in. Perfect for girls trips, bachelorette parties, couples weekend or a chill w**e getaway.

🏔️ SEATTLE: THE PERFECT ALASKA CRUISE BOOKEND 🚢

Before (and after) our Voyager of the Seas Alaska adventure, we explored with the Emerald City. Here's the full rundown.

📍 STAY: Hyatt Regency Seattle: comfortable, central, and the perfect home base before embarking.

🍽️ EAT:
→ Itto's Tapas (West Seattle): hidden gem, incredible small plates and a dry red w**e sagria, worth the trip across the bridge
→ Old Stove Brewing Co (Pike Place): craft b**r + good food = perfect combo

✅SEE:
1️⃣ Pike Place Market — explore the stalls, taste everything
2️⃣ Original Starbucks — fun if you're a fan!
3️⃣ Waterfront walk — fresh air + skyline views
4️⃣ Space Needle — because you have to

💡 PRO TIP: Seattle's port offers Port Valet service — your luggage is collected from your stateroom and it's checked straight to your flight. No Port Valet or just need to stash a carry-on? The Purple Store right by Pike Place was a great place to store them.

Definitely make plans to explore Seattle if you're cruising out of there.

Alaska cruise packing must-have #1: a rain jacket. 🌧️

We got RAINED on — Mendenhall Glacier hike, whale watching, wandering Sitka's shops, Totem Pole National Park, strolling Victoria and even Seattle. Basically the trip fit the "Alaska" stereotype perfectly, and this jacket kept me 100% dry through all of it.

What sold me on the Quince Weather Proof Oversized Rain Jacket:
🧥 Oversized fit = room for a chunky sweater underneath without feeling bulky
💨 Hood stayed put even in wind (helped that I had a beanie under it too)
⏱️ Dried fast, which matters when you're layering rain gear every single day

If an Alaska cruise is on your list, do not skip a quality rain jacket. This one's it. 🙌

I’m back from Alaska and I’m STILL not over it 🐻🐋🛳️

7 days. 4 ports. Glaciers, whales, gold rush towns, and the most unreal scenery I’ve ever seen in person.

What a WEEK! Alaska, you were pretty incredible.

Royal Caribbean gave us 7 amazing days exploring Alaska, and I came home with SO much to share.

I met the captain, toured the ship’s food galley, got to chat with the Food & Beverage Manager, and tried almost every specialty dining restaurant (plus all of the included dining options). Basically, I ate my way through the ship while learning ALL the things. 😂

I have so much to tell you about this cruise — what I loved, what surprised me, and what I think families should know before booking an Alaska cruise.

But first… I still have an evening of travel ahead of me and approximately 847 videos to sort through. So stay tuned!

And in the meantime… should we start talking about Alaska 2028?! 👀

Excuse the no makeup, messy bun look but that’s what happens when mom is preparing to leave for 9 days! 😅 I’m heading to Alaska for the first time, and I’ll be cruising on Royal Caribbean for the first time in 20 years.

Last month we spent 3 nights at Four Seasons Orlando at Walt Disney World and my kids (ages 10 and 13, who have VERY strong opinions about everything) declared it one of their favorite hotels ever. ✨

That's not a small thing coming from two pre-teens who are hard to impress.

This trip completely changed how I think about doing Disney with families who want the magic without giving up the little luxuries that make travel feel special. Think: incredible pools, top-notch dining, easy access to the parks, and a level of service that made everyone in our family feel taken care of.

My aunt and uncle were invited to a wedding in Lake Como, but they asked for help creating an itinerary for a few days leading up the wedding. The catch? They wanted non touristy hidden gems. Orta San Giulio enters the chat.

If you want that Italian lake town vibe without the crowds of Como or Garda, this is it. The whole village is an idyllic combination of lakeside ambiance and medieval charm. Think narrow cobblestone streets, stunning lake views, and a magical little island in the middle.
