Postcards from Castaway Cay 🌴☀️🌊🥥🍹

Disney's OG island is perfection. We spent the day ay Serenity Bay (adults only private beach) without a care in the world. Chris ran a 5K but I opted to just stare at this view for hours.

Chris and I stayed at the Omni Fort Lauderdale for our recent cruise, two nights before and one after, and it was absolutely wonderful!

This hotel opened in December and is perfectly positioned for cruise travelers. It's right next to Port Everglades with complimentary shuttle service, making embarkation day completely stress-free.

The entire property is beautifully styled with coastal and yacht-inspired decor, and I loved all the thoughtful details throughout. From the spacious, gorgeous rooms to locally-sourced coffee at the marketplace to stunning views from the 10th floor pool deck and rooftop Ibis Sky Lounge, every element feels special.

While it's not directly beachfront, the beach is easily accessible, so don't let that stop you. The location and amenities more than make up for it! There is still a little bit of construction outside as they finish the waterfront park and Italian restaurant.

The beauty of Disney cruising as adults? You control the Disney dial. Want character meet-and-greets? They're there. Want sophisticated, barely-themed spaces? They've got those too. Most adult areas are subtly designed and you'd barely know it's Disney.

The adult exclusive offerings are impressive: dedicated pool decks, lounges, bars, plus adult only beaches on the private islands. And the premium restaurants (Remy & Palo) rival any upscale dining experience.

It's not for everyone, but for us? Absolutely worth it.

Domestic travel is having a serious moment right now — and Memorial Day weekend is the perfect excuse to finally book that trip you've been putting off.

Some of my favorite itineraries to put together lately have been entirely domestic—long weekends in the mountains, coastal towns that don't require a red-eye, national parks that will genuinely take your breath away.

Italy's wine regions don't just produce exceptional bottles; they offer some of the most immersive travel experiences in the country. Driving past medieval towers in the Langhe hills, tasting Brunello in a centuries-old cellar, and watching the harvest unfold on Etna's volcanic slopes.

Each region has its own character: Piedmont is refined and ceremonial, Tuscany is cinematic and well-trodden but worth it, while Sicily is raw and increasingly exciting. Across all of them, the rhythm of a wine trip tends to be unhurried with mornings at the estate, afternoon drives between hilltop towns, and dinners that stretch well past nightfall.

Come with a loose itinerary, a willingness to linger, and an appetite for both the wine and the table it comes from.
