“THIS SIDE OF HEAVEN”
Written and illustrated by DeAnna Kathryn Greiner
After five years of courageously battling cancer, my precious 23 year daughter, DeAnna, closed her eyes on June 9,2009 and opened them to see Jesus. He said, “Well done my good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.” DeAnna’s journey was one of faith, hope, courage and dignity. Dee loved writing. I
know of seven different journals that she had completed. She would share her journals with other cancer patients and then give them one of their own to write in. Before DeAnna went to Heaven she chose many of her journal writings and Barbara Everitt, a friend and her favorite teacher, put the book together. Dee saw the book before she to Heaven. She was delighted and asked me to continue with what she would not be able to do herself. DeAnna did not want to be forgotten. She wanted to help others through her book. It is my honor to share DeAnna’s book with you, This Side Of Heaven. I believe it will inspire and touch many lives. It is available at this store. Our family knows that, in the midst of our sadness, we celebrate her new life with Jesus and we miss her more than words can explain. Thank God, she left her words for us. I miss you, Dee. Love, mom
