Altendorf Trucking has been awarded the "Gold Award" by Great West Casualty Insurance Company on June 17th 2026 in Minto, North Dakota.

Altendorf Trucking a locally owned motor carrier company based out of Minto, North Dakota, was awarded for their safety in 2025 in the transportation industry. The award is based on fleet size, miles driven, and accident frequency for the calendar year.

Altendorf Trucking has great employees who are value driven, and prioritize safety. The company has been blessed to have had several people who contribute to the safety program and have been recognized by the North Dakota Motor Carriers Association in the past. In 2017 Terry Jordan garnered North Dakota Driver of the Year, in 2018 Jason Klava was awarded Service Technician of the Year, in 2019 Mike Lee was awarded Safety Professional of the Year and Shawn Gerzewski was also named Service Technician of the Year, in 2022 Julie Hjelle was awarded Driver of the Year. In addition, Altendorf drivers have competed and placed in the North Dakota Truck Driving Competitions as well as the National Truck Driving Competition.

Did not get a chance to post over the weekend for the last day of 2025 Truck Driver Appreciation. The last and lucky winner of our drawing is a long time employee of Altendorf Trucking. He has been with the company for 31 years of service. He does an excellent job for the company as you all do to. He has received awards in the past, and I am happy to say, Ron Eele, your the final draw for 2025. May you all be safe on the road and get treated with respect you deserve. Day 6 of 7 for Truck Driver Appreciation Week. We have a former Altendorf Trucking driver George Gill who jumped ship to go the Altendorf Express drawing todays lucky recipient of a magnificent token of our appreciation.. Todays lucky winner is the Lisbon Greyhound. When your truck is the fastest in the fleet according to the rest of the dog pack. Greyhound is only fitting. LOL !! If the bunny would only slow down. Congrats Lee Ward.

Here is an Altendorf Driver who takes real pride in his clean truck inside and out. If this driver doesn't get drawn in the final two days for truck driver appreciation week, I think I will automatically include him as an honorary winner.. My barn and chicken coupe are generally cleaner than 90% of the trucks I see. So, for Mike Plough to make a Facebook Post on his page that says, "Love a clean ride"! and show of his interior, I know he takes Pride in his truck. Way to go Mike. Just leave that handheld devise in the cradle when your driving.
