A Heartfelt Thank You!!! 😊🩷
Five years ago today — 3/3/21 — I opened Destiny’s Caring Hands with a heart full of purpose and a vision to serve. Today, 3/3/26, I am closing this chapter.
This decision was not easy, but it is a peaceful one.
To the community, thank you. Your love, trust, and support carried this agency further than I ever imagined. Over the years, we served more than 200 clients and employed over 300 caregivers and team members. Every home entered, every hand held, every event hosted, and every act of kindness shared will always be part of this story.
We were also blessed to give back in ways that meant so much to me, donating goods and providing free services to hundreds of families over the years. I truly wish I could have done even more. But to every person we were able to help, serve, or support in any way, thank you. My heart is full.
I started DCH because of my grandparents. Caring for them showed me what dignity, patience, and real love look like. My grandfather recently passed, and while that loss is still heavy, their legacy lives on in the mission that built this agency.
To the caregivers who cared for my grandfather consistently, thank you. He was stubborn in the beginning, but he became such a kind, gentle soul, and I truly believe that transformation came from the love he received from his caregivers and his lead care aide. That meant more to me than words can express.
Along this journey, I also met some incredible people. I learned that everyone carries a different story, a different struggle, and a different perspective on life. That alone changed me.
To every employee and former employee, thank you for pouring your time, energy, and heart into something bigger than yourselves. You helped turn a vision into real impact.
To my clients, I truly thank you. Thank you for fighting for me, for speaking up, and for even trying to spread the word about the DCH community. I know saying goodbye was not easy, and it wasn’t easy for me either. Please know I will never forget any of you.
So many of you became like grandparents, aunties, and uncles to me. Thank you for the tough lessons, the honest conversations, the laughter, the wisdom, and the positive feedback. You didn’t just receive care, you made an impact on my life. I am truly blessed and honored to have met you and cared for you all.
This was never just a job to me, it was a calling. And I believe I have fulfilled that calling. So now, I must walk forward with gratitude for what was built, peace in what was poured out, and faith in what comes next.
I walk away from this chapter with wisdom, love, and memories that will stay with me forever. Destiny’s Caring Hands was never just a business, it was a labor of love.
