🚛🔥 JONES BROTHERS TRAINING UPDATE: WEEK 3

Ariele and Kristina are moving into Week 3 of our full CDL Training Program, and this is where things start getting a little more serious.

This week, they’re getting deeper into backing skills, tighter maneuvering, and some of the more challenging city driving routes around Missoula. We’ll also be salt-and-peppering in some introductory flatbed training along the way, giving them an early look at securement, equipment, and the hands-on side of open-deck freight before we dive into it more heavily.

We’re also happy to welcome Robert back to Jones Brothers! After some time away, he’s decided the open road is calling his name again. We’re glad to have him back aboard and getting ready to roll.

Next up is Sean, who brings several years of OTR van and refrigerated experience with him. We’ll start with our standard evaluations, including pre-trip inspection, backing, close-quarters maneuvering, and some Missoula city routes.

Once we know where he stands, we’ll turn our attention to the flatbed side of the program: securement, straps, chains, tarping, and all the fun that comes with learning how to haul open-deck freight.

Different experience levels. Different backgrounds. Same expectation:

Learn it right. Do it safely. Be ready for the real world.

SHUTDOWN: announces a historic crackdown on fraudulent CDL schools. Over 100 of these schools allowed non-English speakers to operate big rig trucks, endangering American citizens.

The Trump Administration's interagency effort to prosecute fraud and shut down these schools will make America's streets safer.

🚛🔥 MISSOULA TERMINAL – TRAINING PROGRAM UPDATE 🌄

A new class is officially underway, and the next group is getting after it 💪

👩‍🎓 Ariele & Kristina – Day 4
Both are currently in our Full School Program, working through the early stages of training and building the foundation they’ll need before things start getting REALLY interesting 🚛😎

Right now it’s about learning the basics, developing good habits, and building confidence one step at a time.

🤒 Bryan – Also Started This Week

Bryan also joined us this week and got things rolling before getting sidelined by whatever bug decided to make an appearance 😅

We’re hoping he gets feeling better quickly and can jump right back into the mix with the rest of the class. 💪🚛

🔥 Sean – Experienced Driver Joining Soon

Sean comes to us with previous dry van/reefer experience and will be joining the program in a few weeks.

The timing actually works out perfectly.

We’ll dovetail him into the flatbed portion of training right as Ariele, Kristina, and Bryan are reaching that same stage.

That means:

🌧️ Tarping
🪵 Different freight types
🏭 Mill procedures
🚛 Real-world flatbed training

Sean already knows how to drive a truck. Now we’ll help him learn how to work a flatbed. 👊

Happy Birthday, Will Peterson. 🎂

Will spent several years as a local driver with Jones Brothers Trucking and was a valued part of our JBT family. Today, on his birthday, we’re remembering him, the time we shared, and the mark he left on those who knew and worked alongside him.
