Well, this escalated quickly! ✈️🏃

We originally planned to cap this year's BFM 5K on the Runway at 500 runners, but y'all had other plans!

We've officially surpassed 600 registered runners, making this our biggest race yet! 🎉

We're blown away by the support and can't wait to see everyone on the runway October 31!

✈️ WEATHER DELAY! 🌧️

For the safety of our runners, volunteers and everyone involved, the 2026 BFM 5K on the Runway, presented by JESCO, Inc., has been rescheduled to Saturday, October 31.

Here’s what you need to know:

🏃 All current registrations will automatically transfer to the new date.

📦 Packet pickup will NOT take place this week. Updated packet pickup details will be shared ahead of the rescheduled race.

👟 Can’t make October 31? You’ll have the option to transfer your registration to another runner or still pick up your race shirt and swag. More details will be shared soon.

🎟️ Registration has been extended! New registrations are welcome, but shirts and swag are not guaranteed.

We know a change of plans isn’t ideal, but with an event that takes place almost entirely outdoors, safety comes first.

Our takeoff may be delayed, but we’ll see you on the runway October 31! ✈️🏃

And do us a favor: tag your running buddies who aren’t exactly known for checking their email

This morning at Mobile Regional Airport, we gathered to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the courage, service and sacrifice that followed.

Thank you to Baker High School JROTC for presenting the colors and Mobile’s Singing Children for a beautiful performance of the National Anthem.

Twenty-five years later, we remember. We honor. We will never forget.

The new roundabout at Perimeter Road is now open to north/south traffic, and the latest aerial view shows the progress across the Mobile International Airport site.

A reminder: work in the area is still underway, and the detour remains in place for access to Signature Flight Support.
