All Parks, Recreation, Sports Areas and Facilities Are Closed to the Public
Until further notice:

All Township parks and playgrounds are closed.

All Township fields, whether artificial turf or grass, are closed.

All Township sports and recreation courts and facilities, including but not limited to basketball courts, tennis courts, skateboard parks and walking paths are closed.

All school and Board of Education sports and recreation facilities including but not limited to basketball courts, tennis courts, skateboard parks, fields, walking paths, and playgrounds are closed.
All of the above recreation and sports areas and facilities are being monitored by the Montclair Police Department

Montclair, NJ COVID-19 UPDATE
Meter and Permit Parking Enforcement Temporarily Suspended
In an effort to continue helping our residents who may be working from home, staying home with kids or self-quarantining, as well as assisting businesses that are struggling from the lack of traffic as a result of the COVID-19 coronavirus, Montclair is suspending all parking meter and permit parking enforcement, effective immediately and through March 31. The exception is the lot at 205 Claremont Avenue where township employees need to park during work hours.

If you have an overnight street parking permit, you may continue to park on the street. The Crescent Parking Deck and the Bay Street Parking Deck, as well as all municipal lots, will be available for overnight parking.

Illegal parking will still be enforced, this means please do not park by fire hydrants or signs that read "NO PARKING ANYTIME," "NO PARKING HERE TO CORNER," etc. Please observe the 30-minute duration at all LOADING ZONE PARKING.

We greatly urge everyone to follow all guidelines provided by our federal and state agencies:

Montclair, NJ COVID-19 UPDATE
Parking Utility Offers Free 15-minute Parking at Street Meters
The Montclair Township Parking Utility has programmed all on-street parking meters to provide 15 minutes of free parking beginning 8:00 a.m. Monday, March 16. The 15-minute window will allow drivers to run a quick errand and pick-up necessities or take-out orders.

When parking in an on-street metered spot, drivers must depress the green “OK” button (top-right-most button just below the display) for 15 minutes of free parking.

The free 15 minutes will be extended to Parkmobile customers as soon as possible.

In the interest of everyone's well-being, we ask that if you are sick, please stay at home and follow instructions from government agencies:
