As the busy moving season approaches be aware of rogue and scam movers masquerading as legitimate movers. Moves can be stressful an encounter with a rogue mover can be a nightmare.

The fly by night movers many times use day labor, paying them cash under the table. Did you know that if your mover is paying crews in cash you could pay in a big way. If an employee that is being paid under the table is hurt on your property they will not be covered under workman's Comp. So who will get the bill, it could be you the customer?

If these fly by nights scam artists do major damage to your goods or real estate insurance policies will not be in force if the company is paying employees by cash.

What happens if the company you hire has a wreck? If they do not have proper authority and licensing to do the type of move your hire for, the mover will not have insurance coverage. Moving Intrastate or Interstate requires, permits, granted authority, and licensing. If they do not then you have no contract because you cannot enter into an agreement for an illegal act. No contract NO INSURANCE.

I have been in the United States Marine Corps for over 26 years and I can state that my latest move was the smoothest I have had and I attribute that directly to Señora Olivia Foster (334-262-6666). This young lady works at ADMIRAL MOVERS – (MONTGOMERY, AL) and she is certainly an asset to not only her company but obviously to all military members using that moving company. Señora Foster was understanding, thorough, and quite fast in responding to any and all concerns we had. She definitely made this move smooth with regards to finalizing our move dates on both ends. I just pray that I get somebody as good as her for my family’s next military move.

If you need a shredding service, this company is fantastic! My mother recently passed away, and she never threw away anything....I stress anything! We had a lot of paper that needed shredded asap. They came out to our home and loaded up 4 large cans of paper. Estimated it to be about a TON.....1000 pounds of paper, literally. When I received the bill, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was less than that! (891 pounds) HONEST company! They could've charged us for the ton and we would've been none the wiser, but they didn't! AMAZED at the customer service and honesty from this company, which is so hard to come by these days.

Thanks a million Admiral Movers!

P.S. I didn't realize when I called that this was actually a moving company with shredding as an optional service. Not until I just called to pay my bill, did I realize it was a moving company also. I will be getting a quote on moving, as we are moving to Ohio in the next few weeks.

The busy moving season is only a few weeks away. Move before May 20th and save money. Book early and save money. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are the least busy days of the week, often resulting in savings. Make sure the company you are considering for your relocation does not use untrained day labor. Check with your realtor, interior designer and friends for recommendations. Check sites like Angie's List and the BBB to help select movers and avoid a moving nightmare. Also check to see if your potential mover is registered with AMSA as a ProMover. Is your mover a Certified Move Consultant?

I remember calling you in September or so of 2008 about my husband and my unusual moving challenge: moving the contents of the two houses, we had been living in for more than thirty cumulative years into our new home in February of this year. Mr. Foster Roberts came to talk with me and immediately put my mind at ease. He explained the process by which your company would pack our belongings –from the functional to the valuable ones – and would stage the move.

Every assurance Mr. Roberts gave us was fulfilled. The packers were absolutely professional and experienced. Their presence was unobtrusive; yet they were quick and eager to help with move-related tasks. They also labeled all of the boxes so well that at the new house, unpacking was efficient and easy.

On move days, your agents were prompt, cheerful, courteous, and patient! They had already worked out a moving plan, coding both the new rooms and the furnishings to be placed in them. Once rugs were down, they arranged our furniture to our satisfaction. Whether being asked to rearrange furniture, reposition a rug, or remove empty packing boxes, these professionals made our move as nearly stress-free as a move can be.

Because of their expertise, care, and commitment to our satisfaction, we were able to host a party for 250 people five weeks after our move. If we ever require a move, you can count on us calling on you again. Thank you for your excellent service. We are fortunate to have you in Montgomery.

I live in Prattville and I needed to move a dining table with eight chairs and a china cabinet from Las Vegas to my home. Any move – no matter how small or large – is stressful and being about 1,800 miles away from the furniture adds to your stress level. Admiral Movers made the move as stress-free as possible. I worked with Sue McCarron, who was always helpful and very professional. She guided me through the entire process. Well to make a long story short, my furniture arrived Aug. 22 and I am quite pleased. I must say that the table, chairs and china cabinet look fantastic in our dining room. It was my late mother’s furniture and it means a lot to me. The Admiral Movers employees who brought in and set up the furniture were courteous. They were also very patient when I was on my hands and knees trying to make sure the china cabinet was centered on the wall. They moved the cabinet several times – an inch at a time – and joked about it. I highly recommend Admiral Movers. I had a wonderful experience.
