Calais Elementary School will be CLOSED on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.

Late on Monday we became aware of an issue with our well tank that was causing discoloration of our water supply. Chris worked with District Building and Maintenance and discovered the well tank was not holding water and it has caused us to be unable to use any water in the building after today.

Because of this we are going to close school on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025 while we assess the situation and come up with a plan for remediation. The plan as of now is to bring in portalets and drinking water for school on Thursday and Friday. However, I want to be as transparent as possible and say that it is our goal to be open Thursday and Friday, but also make sure you are planning just in case.

As a parent I know it can cause stress when we close school, but we want to ensure our building is safe and ready for our children. I will continue to update everyone as we progress and wish you all a water-ful Wednesday!

The U-32 indoor track and field team put up some impressive performances this past Sunday at the 2025 VPA State Championship Meet at UVM!

The Raiders had five individuals and all six relay teams qualify for the New England Championship Meet on Saturday, March 1 at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston! NE Qualifiers make up the top six finishers in all individual and relay events after combining the Division I and Division II entries.

Madison Beaudoin (300m and 600m)
Tennessee Lamb (600m)
Ginger Long (600m & 1600m *new overall VT State Record 5:10.55)
Elsie Koger (3200m)
Ben Warfield (3200m)

The 4x200, 4x400 and 4x800 relay teams for both the boys and girls also all qualified for the event.

The boys 4x800 relay team of Tennessee Lamb, Cody Young, Wyatt Malloy and Cole Page) broke the Division II state record with a time of 8:37.43.

Congrats Raiders!!!
