The Gallagher Marine Systems (GMS) Incident Management Team is pleased to have completed a two-day training and drill with the Savannah Spill Response Corporation (SSRC). GMS provided Incident Command System training and then worked as ICS coaches as members of SSRC responded to a simulated Cat 3 Hurricane scenario which resulted in a catastrophic failure of an oil storage tank. The drill concluded with a mock press conference involving the U.S. Coast Guard, Georgia DNR, the SSRC Incident Commander and real media who did the interviews. The SSRC continuously work diligently to ensure the highest level of training and response capabilities for their members in the event of a real incident of this nature. GMS is pleased to continue this relationship which dates back to 2013. The training and drill were both well received and very successful and we look forward to doing this again in 2027!

What an incredible time we had at our New Jersey Focus Training Seminar (FTS) and 6th Annual Jack Gallagher Golf Classic!

Hosted at Seaview Resort in Galloway, New Jersey, this year's seminar welcomed compliance partners from around the world for a regulatory Table-Top Exercise, engaging presentations from industry experts, and valuable discussions on emerging issues impacting the maritime and shipping industries.

We were honored to hear from guest speakers representing Skuld, the Marshall Islands Registry, Marine Spill Response Corporation (MSRC), Freehill Hogan & Mahar LLP, Energy Security Agency, and MTI. Training and collaboration are at the heart of effective incident response.

Gallagher Marine Systems recently hosted our annual Qualified Individual (QI) Course, a three-day program that provides an in-depth look at the critical responsibilities of a Qualified Individual during an incident response.

The course brought together compliance partners from across the maritime industry, along with state representatives and private-sector stakeholders, creating valuable opportunities to share knowledge, discuss best practices, and strengthen industry partnerships.

Our team recently conducted training with our internal Planning Section Training, designed to strengthen preparedness and enhance incident response capabilities.

This hands-on training gave team members the opportunity to gain experience across the various roles within the Planning Section, building the knowledge and flexibility needed to effectively support emergency response operations. Gallagher Marine Systems was proud to return to Northern Europe to deliver a series of Focus Training Seminars and Tabletop Exercises across Oslo, Norway; Hamburg, Germany; and Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Throughout these sessions, our compliance partners were trained and updated on the latest U.S. regulatory requirements, including Ballast Water management, drills and exercises, and operations in remote trading areas. Attendees also put their knowledge to the test through interactive Kahoot challenges, earning multiple perfect scores across key categories.

Gallagher Marine Systems was honored to participate in the 2026 T&T Salvage Seminar, held at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Singapore.

This year’s program featured critical discussions on maritime security, Arctic salvage operations, evolving global sanctions, and key issues shaping the future of the industry.
