With the completion of our Runway and Taxiway Lighting project, our lighting has has been upgraded from incandescent to LED, making for improved visibility and safety, as well as superior energy efficiency and reduced maintenance costs. Day or night, Morrilton Municipal is "ready for traffic!"

A recent weekend visitor to Morrilton Municipal was this classic Yak-50 single-seat trainer. Designed solely for advanced aerobatics training and competition while in Russian service in the 1970s and '80s, of 314 built only about 60-70 worldwide remain airworthy.

As part of our ongoing efforts to make Morrilton Municipal a leader in local aviation circles, another milestone has been reached this week with completion of the installation of our Automated Weather Observation System (AWOS). After certification by the FAA, pilots will be able to access upon demand the latest weather info at KBDQ by radio or telephone, enhancing aviation safety for all users of the airport.

The Morrilton Municipal Airport is hiring a part-time Airport Manager.

The Part-Time Airport Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the municipal general aviation airport. This position oversees daily operations, coordinates maintenance, manages tenant relations, administers fuel operations, and ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The Airport Manager serves as the primary point of contact for airport users, tenants, vendors, and the City, and performs hands-on operational and administrative duties necessary for the airport’s effective operation.

Part-time, typically 15-25 hours per week.
$20.00 per hour.
