I talk about Walt Disney World a LOT, but can we give Disneyland a little love for a minute?
After my last Disneyland trip, I came home talking about just how much I love it. They just opened bookings through all of 2027, so now's the time to book to get the best spots on the dates that work for you.
Disneyland is the original Disney park, the one Walt actually walked through, and there’s something really special about that. But one of my favorite things about Disneyland is how EASY the whole vacation can be.
There are only two parks, Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, and they are literally right across from each other. You can walk from one to the other in just a couple of minutes. Hotels, parks, restaurants and Downtown Disney are all right there too.
No enormous property to navigate. No feeling like you need a week just to see everything.
You can have a really fantastic Disneyland vacation in just a few nights, which makes it perfect for a long weekend or when you want Disney without committing to a full week.
And don't mistake smaller for less to do. There are attractions you can't experience at Walt Disney World, different versions of some favorites, fantastic food, great entertainment and so much Disney history.
I especially love Disneyland for families with younger kids, grandparents traveling with the family, people who don't want to plan every second of their vacation, or anyone who wants Disney to feel a little more relaxed.
Walt Disney World will always have my heart, but Disneyland has its own kind of magic and stole my heart, too. It's more compact, more walkable, easier to navigate and just feels different.
If you've done Disney World over and over but have never made it to Disneyland, I really think you should. And if Disney World feels a little overwhelming to you? Disneyland might actually be your Disney.
Have you been to Disneyland, or is it still on your Disney bucket list?
