Hopefully I am able to find some one to help me out. I am currently a live-in caregiver for an amazing 70 year old woman named Linda, in Alamo. She has MS and also recently had a stroke last December that she has bounced back from amazingly and only has paralysis is her right arm. Unfortunetly I can no longer stay on as her caregiver due to unexpected events that I need to leave to take care of. I have to leave by July 15th but I know I will worry about her and I want to make sure she has the best care possible. I have been asked to help her and her family in seeking and to train a new Live-in Caregiver to fill my position. Linda is a very independent person but can only do so much with being in her electric mobile chair. The job would require a trustworthy mature, able bodied, adult female that has previous caregiving experience. Knowledge on operating a manual hoyer lift is a plus but I can train you on it if not. Her mornings and Night time routine require you to get her dressed and prepared for her day or bedtime, and transfer to and from her wheel chair and bed. Regular sponge baths and meal preps. every day as well. Must also be able to transport her to and from her appointments in her van. I am sad to have to leave her because we have grown to be like family and have grown accustomed to eachothers little quirky OCD's. We are located in Alamo within walking distance of Alamo Plaza. This is a LIVE-IN position+WAGES so if you are seriously interested in the postion or know of someone that could meet the needs that we are looking for, please pass along this info and call (925)594-1644 and ask for Jessica to set up a time to meet and interview. For any questions or for further details about the position/pay call or email me personally at: [email protected]. Thank you for taking the time to read this. Again this is a LIVE-IN CAREGIVER position. Please include references with email.
