Memorable Train Ride From Milan to Munich Via Zurich on SBB

One of the most memorable parts of our Europe trip was this beautiful SBB train ride from Milan to Munich by way of Zürich, Switzerland. Smooth rail travel, incredible scenery, and the kind of journey that becomes part of the trip itself. If you love European train travel, Switzerland, or seeing Europe without a car, this ride was unforgettable.

Sunset Grille Marco is a fun, laid-back spot literally right on the beach, tucked into a condo complex and perfectly positioned for sunset views. The tacos were outstanding and fresh, flavorful, and easily the highlight of the meal. The drinks were so good and went down so easy, we ordered a second round without hesitation. Everything we tried was solid, and the overall experience made this a place we’d gladly return to. The service was outstanding as well. We never felt rushed. One important tip: make sure you get your parking validated or you’re looking at a $45 parking fee. Great choice for a casual beachside meal, especially at sunset.

The Oyster Society on Marco Island is a great happy hour meet-up spot with a lively, social vibe and a nice mix of indoor and outdoor seating. They don’t take reservations, so plan to arrive early and note that the line on the right is for the Italian restaurant next door; Oyster Society is the line on the left. We tried the sea scallops, shrimp cocktail, sushi, and the lobster Monte Cristo, and everything was excellent. The drinks were standout, the service was attentive, and the atmosphere made it easy to strike up conversations with people nearby. We’d gladly return next time we’re in the area.
