Founded in 2002, the Naranja Lakes CRA was established to revitalize the area following the destruction left behind by Hurricane Andrew in 1992.

The CRA is dedicated to revitalizing the Naranja Lakes community and surrounding areas through initiatives that will transform the way its residents and business owners live, work, and play. Through partnerships, investments, and community support programs, and leveraging the best that our community has to offer, the Naranja Lakes CRA is working to bolster the area’s housing, business and economic

development, walkability and transportation, infrastructure, tourism, and elevate the overall community to its full potential.

The Naranja Lakes Board of Commissioners convened its regular meeting this morning at the Naranja Lakes CRA Community Center. The Board appointed Commissioner Danielle Cohen-Higgins to serve as Chairwoman of the Naranja Lakes CRA Board. Also before the Board were the fiscal year 2026-27 budget, the disposition and redevelopment of two Agency-owned properties on South Dixie Highway, a property management agreement renewal, and the adoption of Agency bylaws.

On April 25, National Rebuilding Day 2026 brought volunteers, partners, and residents together to improve homes and strengthen the Naranja Lakes community.

Through this initiative, eight homes received critical repairs, creating safer, healthier living spaces for local families.

The Naranja Lakes CRA is proud to partner with and fund this program, investing in projects that revitalize neighborhoods and enhance residents' quality of life.
