Heading home today. 13 days at the Happiest Place on Earth, and I can safely say, I am ready to head home. I have had a blast, but it is time.

My final day at Walt Disney World was spent at Magic Kingdom with one of my Disney Besties, Elizabeth! The highlight was snagging a reservation at the new Pirates themed bar Beak and Barrel, which was so fun! It did not disappoint! We also took in the reimagined Country Bear Jamboree, which I laughed so hard. It was a hoot! The park was very crowded today, as we are going into a holiday weekend, but we were able to have some quality time with each other and enjoy Disney Magic! The greatest blessings of my work with Academy Travel are the friendships I have made with amazing people! A great way to end my visit!

There is Magic everywhere at Walt Disney World and you don’t have to jam pack your schedule to experience it.

Animal Kingdom is usually a half day park for me because my kiddo is all about the rides, so getting to slow down and truly experience it felt really special 🌿🦒

I took my time exploring and learning more about the conservation efforts that make this park so unique. I visited Rafiki’s Planet Watch, saw Finding Nemo The Big Blue… and Beyond for the first time, and watched Zootopia: Better Zoogether, which was so fun. Of course I rode Expedition Everest twice because once is never enough 🎢

I wandered through Pandora, explored the pathways, and really soaked in the atmosphere. Animal Kingdom feels completely different when you let yourself slow down.

After a mid day resort break to recharge, I headed to the Grand Floridian for dinner at Grand Floridian Cafe. The miso salmon was delicious, and I will never turn down a French onion soup.

I ended the night back at Port Orleans Riverside with a nightcap at River Roost, singing along with Yeehaa Bob Jackson at the piano. Truly the perfect way to wrap up the day 🎹✨

Animal Kingdom reminded me that Disney is so much more than rides. It is the shows, the animals, the food, the music, and the little in between moments that make it magical.

Some park days are go go go… and some are perfectly balanced with thrills, shows, snacks, and soaking it all in ✨

My day at Hollywood Studios started strong with Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway and Tower of Terror, because what’s a day without a little adventure? I caught the Villains show, experienced the epic Rise of the Resistance, and had the sweetest interaction with Chewbacca. The Little Mermaid show was such a nostalgic treat, and in between it all, I loved relaxing on a park bench, browsing the shops, and just taking in the sights. The atmosphere is part of the magic too.

From there, I hopped on the Friendship Boat over to the BoardWalk and stumbled into the coziest surprise, an espresso martini at Abracadabra Bar. Such a fun little hidden gem!

Then I walked right into Epcot, which is one of my favorite transitions on property. I enjoyed a pour of V***e Clicquot Rosé, had dinner at Spice Road Table, and let me just say… the Hummus Fries. WOW. Absolutely worth the hype.

I strolled around World Showcase, made it to Mexico for a refreshing cucumber margarita at La Cava, and ended the night with Luminous: The Symphony of Us lighting up the sky.

This is your reminder that a perfect Disney day is about more than just rides. It’s about experiences, flavors, entertainment, and those little in between moments that make it unforgettable.

Ready for your own Hollywood Studios to Epcot kind of day? Let’s plan it! 💫
