Uber knows your location better than 911.

How?

When you installed the Uber app, you enabled location services, agreeing to share your exact location with the app.

911 doesn't work that way.

Unlike landlines, cell phones are not associated with any one location. Distressed callers may not know their exact location, and dispatchers can only get as close as the nearest cell tower.

Over 70% of 911 calls are from cell phones.
