Please join TnBAA for a virtual presentation with Amanda Ferraro on March 23rd at 1pm CST. You can register for the presentation at www.tnbaa.org/events, the meeting invite with the Zoom link will be sent out after you register.

Amanda will be giving an overview of the FAA NPRM on Part 5 SMS. If you are a Part 91 Flight Department that operates outside the U.S., Part 135, Part 145, Manufacturer, or a Flight School, you will benefit from this discussion.

For some background, there was a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) released on January 10 that would update and extend Part 5 SMS requirements to Part 135 outfits, certain Part 21 certificate holders, and air tours operating under FAR 91.147. There is a comment period now through April 11. Please join this discussion to be informed prior to the comment period ending.

Amanda Ferraro is the CEO of Aviation Safety Solutions, LLC and a lead IS-BAO auditor, industry-leading expert in SMS, Certified Aviation Manager (CAM), international G550/G450 captain, teacher for auditors and implementors around the world, and developer for the new FS1 program for IBAC. Ferraro brings a wealth of aviation experience and perspective. In 2020, Ferraro was asked to lead the NBAA SMS Safety Committee to further industry education and understanding in safety management systems.
