Big science has a local connection.

Headquartered in Hamden, BioRelo is proud to be part of Connecticut’s thriving life sciences community.

Our latest case study takes us to Farmington, where we coordinated a lab move between The Jackson Laboratory and UConn Health, transporting nine temperature-controlled storage units with their contents.

With longstanding relationships at both institutions, we’re connected to the researchers and teams advancing science right here in Connecticut.

Curious about what goes into a laboratory move? Take a look inside this Farmington project: https://www.biorelo.com/farmington-ct-lab-move-jax-uconn-health/

Because behind every scientific breakthrough is a network of people, institutions, and logistics working together to move research forward.

Who’s coordinating the move?

For lab managers, it can feel like everyone has a piece, and you’re the one holding it all together.

Research. Facilities. EHS. Vendors. Equipment. Samples. Timelines.

Because every group sees a different part of the move. Coordination connects those pieces.

A Laboratory Move Is a Team Effort A laboratory move can involve dozens of people, hundreds of decisions, and countless moving pieces. But what happens when everyone is doing their part, yet no one is working from the same plan? Researchers are focused on their work.

Less logistics. More time for your lab.

A lab move comes with enough competing priorities. Planning timelines, coordinating equipment, managing samples, working around facility requirements… the logistics can quickly become a job of their own.

BioRelo helps take those details off your plate, from planning through final delivery, so your team can stay focused on the work that matters.

🔬 Less time managing the move.

How do you move an entire laboratory more than 3,000 miles without treating it like ordinary freight?

You plan every mile.

UC Davis to Syracuse University. Every part of the journey matters.

🌡️ 24/7 temperature monitoring
❄️ Specialized refrigerated transportation
🧪 Biological material transport
đźšš Reduced stops and unnecessary handling
📍 Experienced cross-country route planning

For research organizations relocating to Syracuse University or elsewhere in Central New York, choosing the right laboratory moving partner can make a major difference.

Because a laboratory move isn't just about getting from California to New York.

It’s about protecting research continuity every mile of the way.

Not every lab move means leaving town.

Sometimes, growth happens within the same life sciences community, like this move in Beverly, MA.

BioRelo transported cold storage units and their contents from InnoVenture Labs to FireCyte Therapeutics, moving both the equipment and the temperature-sensitive materials inside.

As companies grow beyond incubator space, laboratory relocations can involve much more than getting equipment from Point A to Point B.

BioRelo provides specialized laboratory transportation throughout Massachusetts and across the country.

From Cranbury to Princeton.

New Jersey's life sciences community spans CROs, biotechnology companies, pharmaceutical organizations and research institutions across the state.

For Accurant Biotech, BioRelo supported a laboratory relocation from Cranbury to Princeton, transporting chemicals, cold storage equipment and an LN2 cryogenic freezer with contents.

It's one example of how laboratory relocations can connect different communities within New Jersey's growing life sciences network.

One laboratory move. Several different temperature environments.

For the Wilson Lab’s move from the The University of Chicago to Weill Cornell Medicine , the equipment included -80°C ULT freezers with biological samples, ULT freezers that needed to remain powered and at temperature without samples, an LN2 cryogenic storage unit, and a -20°C/4°C laboratory refrigerator.

For an interstate research move, those details shape how the relocation comes together.

Our latest case study looks at the Wilson Lab relocation, the research behind it, and the temperature-controlled equipment and biological materials that made the move unique.
