Tweed New Haven for Everyone

There are a few people that go on and on about "freight " at tweed. Why would tweed become a freight terminal when TF Green is spending 100 million dollars on a new freight terminal?

I can answer that question. Tweed expansion will not include freight, because the infrastructure to deal with it is too far away to make it profitable, and those who say otherwise lie to frighten people near the airport.

I had hoped to engage with people on both sides of the tweed issue, but sadly the detractors are nowhere to be found. I hoped that spirited debate on both sides would help the majority to make up their minds.

Seems that the anti-tweed groups are unwilling to speak when they can't control the narrative. They go on about noise, pollution, and the environment; all concerns that are valid, but offer no data to backup their claims.

They also post lies and push complete falsehoods on their own pages, and block anyone who disagrees.

They live in an echo chamber and most people would say that it's best to ignore them, but that's wrong. Because they are using the lies and their control over the narrative to gain influence. Everyone knows about the sorry state of the news media, and how most "news" organizations now choose clicks over facts (I'm looking at you New Haven Register and CT Mirror). They know that dropping juicy tidbits of fear and doom about the airport at reporters feet will get their lies in print. And reporters know that leading with lies is okay as long as they state that what's being reported is "allegedly" what happened.

They know that most folks only read the headlines, and the anti-tweed folks are using it to try and grab power.

There's got to be a better way. I don't know what it is, but I'm not comfortable with 10,000 Hawks and Save Our Shoreline, Connecticut spreading lies and deception as a way to get power.

I would love to debate, but if that's not possible I will call out the lies and deception here on this page for the rest of us to see.

I suppose it makes sense that they would comply, just to stop the rhetoric and save time and money on lawyers. I still personally think that it's a conflict of interest.

Despite saying the airport is licensed under the FAA, the Tweed New Haven Airport...
